Ocra is a global, peace-focused, abundance-oriented, decentralised cryptocurrency designed to provide unconditional monthly income to every willing human being on Earth. It is non-speculative and governed through open consensus. Ocra exists to replace lack with sufficiency, banks with self-filling wallets, profit-seeking with purpose, markets with trust and short-term extraction with perpetual flow.
In the 1990s, the richest 10% of humanity owned roughly half of the world’s wealth (about 50%, according to the World Inequality Database and Credit Suisse data). At the same time, the richest 1% already owned around 25–30% of global wealth (World Inequality Report 2022). By 2020, that share had swollen to around 85% for the top 10% (Credit Suisse Global Wealth Report, 2020) and about 43–44% for the top 1%. If this trajectory continues, rising historically by roughly 1–1.2 percentage points of global wealth concentration per year over the past three decades — and all indicators suggest it will — then within the next two decades the global economy will enter a terminal phase: a condition in which the concentration of wealth becomes so extreme that capitalism itself begins to suffocate from lack of oxygen. The system that once promised upward mobility and mass prosperity will collapse under the weight of its own imbalance. The system is severely top heavy and AI is making big waves.
